Commercial architectural millwork for Denver projects.
J&M Custom Cabinet Shop builds custom casework, reception desks, built-ins and countertops for general contractors and architects across the Denver metro. Every piece is built in our shop at 7285 Gilpin Way from the architect’s drawings, finished in house, and installed by our crew.
What we build
We’ve built for hospitals, daycares, schools and dental offices, alongside the general contractors and architects running those jobs.
Materials and finishing
We can work glass, plastic laminate, solid wood, solid surface or stone into a space. Laminate and solid surface countertops are fabricated in our shop. For solid wood, we custom mix stains in our in-house finishing department.
Stone countertops are fabricated next door by our stone division, J&M Granite.

Scheduling requirements
After you approve our proposal we provide shop drawings and field measure before fabrication starts. Here is what we need, and when.
Before framing is complete

Award and send the CAD file
Award the project and send us the floor plan CAD file from the architect. Our goal is to send submittals within 2 weeks.

Approve submittals
Return approved submittals as soon as you can. We need them one week before framing is complete.

Order material
Material is ordered and lead times start.
After framing is complete
- 04
Field measure
We measure on site once framing is done, before fabrication starts.
- 05
Fabrication
Six to eight weeks in our shop, including finishing.

Install
Install is scheduled and our crew sets it in place.

Commercial millwork questions
Lead times, countertops and what to send us.
How do I get a quote on commercial millwork?
Email the architectural drawings to info@jmcustomcabinets.net or call 303-853-9767. We price the millwork from the drawings, and once you approve the proposal we provide shop drawings and field measure before fabrication starts.
How long does commercial millwork take?
Fabrication takes 6 to 8 weeks after we field measure. We aim to send submittals within 2 weeks of receiving the architect’s CAD floor plan, and we need approved submittals one week before framing is complete.
Do you make the countertops?
Yes. Plastic laminate and solid surface countertops are fabricated in our shop. Stone countertops are fabricated next door at our stone division, J&M Granite.
Do you design the space?
No. We build from your architect’s drawings. If you still need an architect, ask us and we’ll point you to design firms we’ve worked with.
Do you do small repairs or re-lamination?
No. We don’t take on small repairs or re-lamination of any kind. The shop builds new commercial millwork and custom cabinets.
