What we build
Everything that leaves the shop is custom, built from your architect’s drawings to fit the space.
Commercial millwork

Materials we work in
Glass, plastic laminate, solid wood, solid surface and stone, often in the same desk. Laminate and solid surface tops are made here, and stone is cut next door, so one shop answers for the whole piece.

How a job runs
We build from the architect’s drawings. This is the schedule we work to on commercial jobs, so millwork is ready when the walls are.
Before framing is complete
- 01
Award and send the CAD file
Award the project and send us the floor plan CAD file from the architect. Our goal is to send submittals within 2 weeks.
- 02
Approve submittals
Return approved submittals as soon as you can. We need them one week before framing is complete.
- 03
Order material
Material is ordered and lead times start.
After framing is complete
- 04
Field measure
We measure on site once framing is done, before fabrication starts.
- 05
Fabrication
Six to eight weeks in our shop, including finishing.
- 06
Install
Install is scheduled and our crew sets it in place.

Common questions
Straight answers on quotes, lead times and what the shop handles.
How do I get a quote on commercial millwork?
Email the architectural drawings to info@jmcustomcabinets.net or call 303-853-9767. We price the millwork from the drawings, and once you approve the proposal we provide shop drawings and field measure before fabrication starts.
How long does commercial millwork take?
Fabrication takes 6 to 8 weeks after we field measure. We aim to send submittals within 2 weeks of receiving the architect’s CAD floor plan, and we need approved submittals one week before framing is complete.
Do you make the countertops?
Yes. Plastic laminate and solid surface countertops are fabricated in our shop. Stone countertops are fabricated next door at our stone division, J&M Granite.
Do you design the space?
No. We build from your architect’s drawings. If you still need an architect, ask us and we’ll point you to design firms we’ve worked with.
Do you do small repairs or re-lamination?
No. We don’t take on small repairs or re-lamination of any kind. The shop builds new commercial millwork and custom cabinets.
Do you build residential cabinets?
Yes. Our residential line comes in Shaker and Euro frameless styles for kitchens and vanities, with plastic laminate, solid surface (Corian) or quartz countertops.
Who do you build for?
General contractors and architects on commercial jobs such as hospitals, daycares, schools and dental offices, plus homeowners through our residential cabinet line.
